Follow-Up on Employer Satisfaction with Islamic Family Law Graduates of IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kanwil Kemenag) in Gorontalo Province

Gorontalo, December 8, 2023 – In an effort to enhance the quality of its graduates, the Faculty of Sharia at IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo conducted a follow-up satisfaction survey for employers of graduates from the Islamic Family Law Study Program. One of the main focuses of this initiative was evaluating the performance of graduates employed at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kanwil Kemenag) in Gorontalo Province.

The event took place in the auditorium of Kanwil Kemenag Gorontalo and was attended by faculty representatives, faculty leadership, and employees from Kanwil Kemenag, who are direct users of the graduates. During the discussions, various feedback was provided regarding the graduates’ competencies, including their knowledge of Islamic law, practical skills, and professional attitudes in the workplace.

The Head of Kanwil Kemenag Gorontalo, H. Mansur Basir, expressed his appreciation for the graduates of the Islamic Family Law Study Program at IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo. “We observe that the graduates possess a solid foundation in Islamic law and are capable of meeting the workforce demands in the public service sector. However, we hope to see improvements in their proficiency in information technology and administrative management,” he said.

The Dean of the Faculty of Sharia, Ahmad Faisal, reaffirmed the faculty’s commitment to aligning the curriculum with industry needs. “The feedback from Kanwil Kemenag will be an essential part of our evaluation. We are also designing additional training programs for students, such as information and communication technology training, to enhance their readiness in the digital era,” he stated.

The event concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Faculty of Sharia at IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo and Kanwil Kemenag Gorontalo Province, focusing on educational quality improvement and graduate competitiveness.

Through this initiative, IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo demonstrates its commitment to producing high-quality graduates who excel academically and are adaptable to workforce needs.
